Kia ora rawa atu. Big thanks volunteers!

THANK YOU to all the Presbyterian Support volunteers across our seven regions in Aotearoa New Zealand through our services Enliven, and Family Works. Also, to the volunteers that sit on our Boards across the motu.

Presbyterian Support East Coast (PSEC) have 100 volunteers! PSNZ would like to shout out to you all at PSEC and thank you for supporting our mahi. Check out the four volunteers that have been nominated for the 2025 Volunteering Hawke’s Bay Excellence Awards here. All the best to Suzette Potts, Colleen Stephens, Janne Newton, and Dieuwke Wierdsma. To join the team in PSEC you’ll find all the info here.

We would also like to acknowledge all volunteers nationwide that are putting in the mahi to make a difference across Aotearoa. According to Stats NZ 2023 General Social Survey (wellbeing statistics update March 2025) over half of New Zealanders (53.0%) volunteered over the previous four weeks. For those that volunteered, 27.6% volunteered through an organisation and 40.8% volunteered directly for another person.

“I love volunteering as it is heart-warming and great to give back to the community that has supported me.”

“Volunteering keeps me busy and is fun connecting with new people.”

“Being acknowledged by the organisation is lovely and having a bit of banter with the other volunteers makes my day.”
