Community Youth and Family Suppport Service provides support to families in the form of education and life skills either in your own home or at the Counselling and Education Centre for families with young people 10 - 25 years experiencing difficulties within their family.
The following areas may be covered
- strengthening family relationships
- family conflict
- overcoming the effects of violence
- parenting issues
- child/adolescent behaviour
- peer pressure
- parent/child relationships
- disability issues
- anger management
- self esteem
- bullying/peer pressure
- assertiveness
- safety issues for young people
- developmental issues for children/adolescents
Anyone in the community can refer you or you can refer yourself. The cost of the Community Youth & Family Support Service is highly subsidised and can be discussed at your first appointment.
