Older Persons Social Work
A service for people aged 65 years and over living in their own home. Provides social work support for older people in Mid Canterbury and their families. Home visits can be made.

SupportLink is a specialised service that supports older people who are experiencing changes related to memory loss and/or dementia which may be affecting their lives. SupportLink assists them to maintain their independence and remain in their homes safely for as long as possible.
SupportLink is a combination of the Enliven services of Presbyterian Support (USI) in the Canterbury area. It provides a range of services which can include day programme attendance, social work, family support and education, community support worker. A member of the SupportLink Team prepares an individual’s Support Plan; a mix of services that is tailored to an individual’s support needs. This plan is flexible and can be adjusted as needs change.
SupportLink includes support for those who care for these older people at home.
SupportLink is currently a ‘pilot project’ funded by the CDHB as part of their strategy to enable older people to continue to age in place and is free to participants.
