Vaughan MilnerPRESYTERIAN SUPPORT APPOINTS NEW CHIEF EXECUTIVE

The Board of Presbyterian Support Upper South Island has appointed Vaughan Milner to the position of Chief Executive, following the retirement of the Rev John Elvidge.

Mr Milner has extensive experience in the social service sector, both in Presbyterian Support and in the public service. He is currently Director of Family and Community Services at Presbyterian Support Otago, and before that held senior management positions with CYPS/CYFS in both Christchurch and Dunedin.

“Mr Milner brings to the position a sound understanding of the social service work of Presbyterian Support and the context within which the organisation works,” says Board Chairperson Pat Edward . “His leadership will be a key element in the future as Presbyterian Support continues making a difference for families and older people.”

The Upper South Island region spans Nelson, Marlborough, the West Coast, North Canterbury and Mid Canterbury. Collectively the seven Presbyterian Support regions are one of the largest providers of a range of social services in New Zealand, working with older people, children, young people and families.

Mr Milner will take up his new position after Easter.
