H’Art to raise funds for memory loss centre
Jill Henriod, Llew Summers, Mark Lander and Rudolf Boelee are among more than 30 New Zealand artists whose work will be featured in H’Art, an exhibition, sale and auction of artworks to be held on March 10 to raise funds for Harakeke Club, Presbyterian Support’s day centre for people with memory loss.
H’Art will be held courtesy of the John Robert Godley Trust from 6-9pm in the grand setting of Lansdowne Homestead and Gardens, behind Rossendale Restaurant, Tai Tapu.
Around 300 people are expected to attend this gala event, which will be hosted by celebrated singer and art adviser Malcolm McNeill. Some artworks will be for straight sale; others will be sold by auction or silent auction. The auctioneer will be Phil McGoldrick of Harcourts.
Finger food and Rossendale wines will be served during the evening, and music will be provided by musicians from Christchurch Symphony.
All proceeds will go to Harakeke Club, Christchurch’s only stand-alone day centre for people with memory loss, which is run by Presbyterian Support as part of its programme of services enabling older people to continue living in their own homes with dignity and purpose.
Tickets ($30 including finger food and a complimentary glass of wine) are available from Ballantynes in City Mall or Presbyterian Support, 44 Bealey Avenue, phone 366 5472.
The artworks can be viewed online from March 7.
