Established in the early 1950s Resthaven has grown into a comprehensive retirement village providing a full range of care levels. The resthome wing has been completely refitted and together with a new wing now forms a state of the art resthome/hospital. The village also has rental and licence to occupy cottages. 
These are self-contained with support available from the resthome/hospital if needed. Resthaven is located on a large site and is handy to the town center.

The eighty ninth AGM of Presbyterian Support Southland will be held in Anderson Hall at Peacehaven Village, 498 Tweed Street, on 15th October.
