The Croft (Lorna & Hamish Grant Eventide Home)

The Croft Rest Home is situated in the gracious grounds of the historic Homestead of Lorna & Hamish Grant on Park Lane, commanding panoramic views across Timaru City to the majestic Southern Alps.

Every resident is warmly welcomed and is encouraged to make their rooms homely with favourite mementos. Visitors are welcome anytime.

Included is a secure wing - (a special safe area for elderly residents with memory loss, providing high staff levels for continuous supervision) along with a hospital wing - accomodating up to 20 residents.

Margaret Wilson Complex

Margaret Wilson Complex provides a comprehensive range of services to meet the varying needs of older people.

Short term and long term care is available in the following facilties:

Margaret Wilson Rest Home

Provides an attractive modern environment and individual rooms all have ensuites.  Every resident is warmly welcomed and encouraged to make their rooms homely with favourite mementos.  Visitors are welcome anytime.

Margaret Wilson Hospital

Caring staff provide optimum care for frail older people needing individual continuing care. All care is provided in single rooms with ensuites. A homely atmosphere is provided with an emphasis on dignity and comfort.

Margaret Wilson Hospital - Hornsey Wing

This Unit within the Margaret Wilson Hospital provides long-term hospital care for people aged 16 to 65 years of age with physical and/or sensory disabilities.

Care is provided in a safe and secure environment in specially designed large rooms with ensuites, where people are able to maintain their dignity, privacy and independence, whilst receiving the support and level of care appropriate to their needs.

The close relationship existing between residents and staff creates a family atmosphere ensuring a stable, secure environment for individuals to achieve their full potential.

Our aim is to provide the care and support necessary to ensure a resident achieves their maximum level of independence and enjoys as normal a life as possible within the limits of their disability.
