Wallingford Rest Home provides quality care in a community setting. Temuka is a small town located just north of the city of Timaru. A safe and secure environment is provided for residents accommodated in single rooms.
Residents are able to maintain their dignity and independence whilst receiving all the support and the level of care appropriate to their needs with due regard to and respect for an individual's race, religion and personal ethnic beliefs. Every resident is warmly welcomed and is encouraged to make their rooms homely with favourite mementos. Visitors are welcome anytime.

Short and long-term care is available.
The Diversional Therapist facilitates access to a range of hobbies, entertainment, exercises and outings. The programme is developed by an Occupational Therapist. Wallingford's own mini-van has a hoist and is used for community outings. Residents enjoy a wide variety of interests both within the Home and at community based events either as a group or individually. An interesting and varied recreation programme with a wide range of activities is offered, and residents are welcome to join in as they wish.
Trained staff provide assistance 24 hours a day under the guidance of Registered Nurses, who are fully experienced in meeting the particular needs of older people. Residents have the option of retaining their own doctor, and have access to other health professional as necessary. Menus are designed by a Dietician, and cater for individual dietary needs as required. Visitors are welcome any time.
The Home is Accedited with Quality Health New Zealand, and certified as a health care provider by the Ministry of Health.
