Volunteer Service

Volunteer Visiting Service provides an invaluable service for older people - both in their own home setting and for those residing in our aged care facilities.

Volunteers work in a wide range of areas:

  • Providing companionship for people in their homes or Rest Homes
  • Providing transport for outings, shopping or appointments
  • Working in our Opportunity Shop and Warehouse
  • How do I Volunteer?

By talking to our Volunteer Coordinator about your options, completing an application form, and providing references.

How can I get a Volunteer?

Contact our Volunteer Coordinator who will visit and discuss your request with you.

    What does it cost?

Our service is provided free, but if you wish to make a donation to assist the service that will be gratefully acknowledged. Volunteers receive travel reimbursement.

We support and appreciate our volunteers by holding regular meetings, where we have speakers to provide information we want on disabilities and benefits. We also share our volunteering successes and difficulties in these meetings.
