The campaign was set originally for 8 weeks however the funds were received in only 5 of those weeks, so the campaign was a tremendous success and reconfirmed the strength of support that we know exists within the community for Cranford.

The Cars4Cranford campaign was a high profile initiative run with Hawkes Bay Today. Westpac Trust, and Bay Ford. Not only was it a fundraising campaign, but also an opportunity to tell the community at large more about what Cranford does, and to strengthen the relationship that Cranford has in our region as a brand.  Two new vehicles were fundraised from the community for the Cranford Community Care programme and a small overrun in the fundraising beyond $75,000 means that another older vehicle will be “traded in” to upgrade the fleet even more.  The Cranford cars get a lot of use and clock up enormous mileages each year - two of our current cars are aging fast, as we cover the area from Takapau to Wairoa. Many people do not realise what an extensive service the Cranford team provide in the community – at any given time they care for about 100 patients, who with support can continue to live at home.

Many thanks to Bay Ford Hawkes Bay Today and Westpac Trust for their assistance.
