Presbyterian Support Central’s Social Services adopts a new Name.
19 February 2007
From the 28th February Presbyterian Support Central’s child and family services will be delivered under a new name - Family Works. In adopting Family Works, Presbyterian Support Central joins a network of Presbyterian Support regions delivering services to children, families and communities across New Zealand under the same banner.
Family Works stresses effective families. We believe strong families grow enriched individuals and make strong and positive contributions to the community.
In adopting Family Works Presbyterian Support Central will continue to offer the same services, but will now also have the opportunity to expand, grow and share our expertise more widely, enabling us to add additional services where necessary and to be even more responsive to local needs.
Family Works builds on our heritage and our local strengths. We remain proud of the work we have done and committed to our clients, past, present and future. The new name for our service gives us a raft of new opportunities to better raise awareness of and communicate the work we do and raise awareness of it allowing us to reach more people.
The Family Works Centre in Featherston officially launches Family Works on the 28th February at 10am. Special guest Dr Jo Lake, National Executive Officer of Presbyterian Support New Zealand will make a presentation followed by a light lunch. All media are invited to attend the official function.
